Matthew Blood-Smyth as ALLEN

 

Matthew has appeared on stage in Denver, Golden, Boulder, Breckenridge and Prague. Some of his more notable roles include Jean in Paragon Theatre’s final production, Miss Julie; Guildenstern in Blood, Love, and Rhetoric’s inaugural production, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead; and Nicholas Stoughton in Local’s world premier of Elijah: An Adventure, for which he won the Marlowe Award for Best Supporting Actor.  Matthew was last on stage with Lauren Bahlman in Spark's 2011 production of Two Gentlemen of Verona. Directing credits include Animals by Sam Byron (Winner: Outstanding Direction FringeNYC 2012), Red Light Winter by Adam Rapp (NSD, Pam MacKinnon Advisor), At the Finish by Nick Gandiello, Dead Special Crabs by Dan Kitrosser, The ‘You Knows’ Know by Derek Ahonen, The Accommodation by Paul Cohen, The Old Forever New Things by Dan Kitrosser.  For Wide Eyed Productions she has directed The Trojan Women, The Return of Toodles von Flooz by Lisa Ferber, My Daughter Keeps Our Hammer by Brian Watkins, Outstanding by Bekah Brunstetter, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Dale Wasserman, Much Ado About Nothing and The Medea. Her short film, Isolation by Matt Herzfeld was selected to be a part of the Chicago Reel Short Film Festival and the Phoenix International Film Festival and her 8-episode web series, Bar Crossed Lovers, is streaming now.  Kristin received her BA from the University of Northern Colorado and an MFA in Directing from The New School for Drama. Kenny Storms (Sound Design)- Kenny has most recently been working as Resident Sound Designer for The Edge Theatre Company, The LIDA Project and The Athena Project in Denver.  He has been a teaching artist and Children’s Coordinator for The Denver Center for the Performing Arts and served as the Artistic Director for the Denver Repertory Theatre Company and Freestyle Productions.  He taught theater/speech to both middle and high school students at the Academy of Charter Schools and the DCPA.  He has directed and self-produced numerous productions both regionally in Denver and abroad in Baltimore, Ireland.  He received his BA in Theatre Arts from the University of Northern Colorado.

 

Anshuman Bhatia (Scenic Design)- Mr. Bhatia’s designs for Dance, Opera and Theatre have been seen at Beijing’s National Center for the Performing Arts, Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Soho Rep, The Public, The Atlantic, Arena Stage in Washington D.C., The Julliard Schoo, HERE Arts Center, LoftOpera, Ma-Yi Theatre company, Lincoln Center Director’s Lab, Infinity Theatre Company, The University of Denver, and The New School for Drama.  His associate designs have been seen at the New York Philharmonic, Central City Opera in Colorado, Washington Ballet, Roundabout Theatre, the Guggenheim Museum, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and BAM.  Upcoming work can be seen at Bard, Brown, Julliard, LaMama, 59e59 and Adirondack Theatre Festival. Kevin Fulton (Lighting Design)- Kevin is a designer and collaborative theatre maker from Denver.  His work has also been seen in Poughkeepsie and Boston.  Recent credits include: The Most Deserving (Denver Center Theatre Co.), DEAD DRUNK: A New Play by Shakesbeer (Diebolt Brewing), Gruesome Playground Injuries (Triptych Theatre Co.), On the Edge Festival (The Edge Theatre), Fat Men in Skirts (Philalethieis Society).  Education: Vassar College, BA in Drama.

Melissa McCallum (Costume Design)- Melissa is a costume designer and dresser working currently in Denver. Before her recent move to Denver, she worked with Norwegian Cruise Lines as a wardrobe supervisor and stitcher. Other credits include: Costumer Assistant for Casa Valentina(The Edge Theatre), Costume Shop Assistant at West Texas A&M University, and Costume Intern at Central City Opera. She graduated West Texas A&M University with a BA in Theatre.
